Biography

Ashley is passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families and believes everyone deserves a safe and empathetic place to walk through their journey. She approaches counseling through Emotion Focused Therapy so the couple or individual can explore their inner world, experience healing, gain a deeper understanding of who they are and what they need. Through this they can also begin to navigate relationships in a more productive, healthy way.
Ashley has expertise in anxiety, depression, feeling stuck, shame, addiction and grief. She helps her clients create a path and set goals that will lead them to live most fully in their life.
She enjoys working with couples and individuals as they walk through marital and relational issues. She helps clients navigate communication breakdowns, conflict resolution issues, healing after infidelity, codependent tendencies, and parenting. Certified in Prepare and Enrich Counseling, she offers premarital counseling and can help couples identify strengths and growth areas in their relationship.
Ashley draws from her experience in working in youth ministries such as Kanakuk Kamps, Young Life, and K-Life. She will complete her Masters in Counselor Education in December of 2018 from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Orlando, FL. She graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Marriage and Family Studies from Union University in Jackson, TN.
She has lived in the Orlando area since 2008 and married her best friend, Chris in 2010. They have two adorable dogs.
Ashley is excited about meeting you and walking with you through whatever situation you are currently in, providing encouragement as well as assisting you in setting goals and navigating the steps to reach those goals, so that you may live your best life.
Speciality areas
- Relationship issues: including marriage counseling, premarital counseling, infidelity issues, communication and conflict resolution skills, and gaining a deeper understanding of each other’s emotional experience.
- Mood disorders: anxiety and depression. Education and support for family members as well who have loved ones with mood disorders.
- Family Counseling: parent- child issues, increasing understanding and communication.
- Trauma: past or current trauma related to emotional abuse, sexual abuse, physical abuse, or relationship trauma
- Grief and Loss: loss of loved one, loss of pet. learning to cope and heal from the pain.
