Now accepting new clients!
Rachel’s goal as a counselor is to be the person willing to walk with others toward more joy, peace, and healing. She intentionally creates a space for clients to feel safe and comfortable to explore their story. Rachel believes we were created to be in connection with others and views developing trust and hope in the therapeutic relationship as a vital piece in the process. As Brene Brown says, imperfections are not inadequacies; they are reminders that we’re all in this together.
Rachel is a National Certified Counselor and Certified Grief Therapist who specializes in women-related grief experiences such as postpartum depression, perinatal loss, and PMDD. With her eclectic style, Rachel is passionate about coming alongside women dealing with grief, depression, anxiety, self-esteem struggles, relationship conflict, codependency, and life transitions. For individual counseling and couples counseling, Rachel helps foster a safe space to process, heal, and grow together. Her therapeutic approach is person-centered with the appropriate integration of different modalities, such as experiential therapy, CBT, DBT, Gottman Institute, and EFT, depending on the presenting concerns and goals of the client.
Rachel came to the counseling field by way of journalism. During Rachel’s television reporting and anchoring experiences post-hurricanes or covering traumatic events, her desire to serve and bring healing was continuously reaffirmed. After six years in the industry, Rachel pursued a career pivot and obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. Rachel feels the counseling space provides a richer environment to leave a greater impact.
Rachel and her husband Carter welcomed their first child last year. After growing up in Central Florida, she and her family recently moved back to the area. She is relishing in the time with her siblings, nieces/nephews, and parents. Rachel has joined the pickleball craze, enjoys that first cup of coffee, cooking food on a football Saturday, traveling, and catching the sunset.
