Now accepting new clients!
Lindsay is a counselor who believes each person’s life is composed of countless moments or “atoms” — sensations, feelings, sights, interactions — which create an image like the tiles of a mosaic. Lindsay views counseling as the process by which clients explore and engage these moments— whether they be in the form of loud traumas, unmet longings, or quietly humming anxieties — with compassion and curiosity as they tread the path of healing.
Lindsay takes an attachment-based approach to counseling, understanding much of the brain’s most significant formation occurs within the first few years of life. Just as a person’s early environment can serve to provide a safe connotation for the word “home”, so it can also be the source of wounds which follow through life. Attachment-informed approaches believe healing occurs when the client experiences security within themselves and with others.
With a background in English literature, writing, and marketing, Lindsay is passionate about the role stories play in the daily process of discovering beauty and making meaning. In addition to her love for metaphor, Lindsay utilizes modalities such as EFT (emotionally-focused therapy), IFS (internal family systems), and DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) in session. When Lindsay is not counseling, she can be found reading or weight-lifting. She lives in Winter Park but will always call Virginia home.
